Participation DeLOG meeting autumn 2016

Thanks to our great specialization, PRIMORIS is represented in various working groups. One of them is the German lab community for fruit and vegetables DeLOG (Deutsche Laborgemeinschaft für Obst und Gemüse) of the DFHV.
Hans Braeckman, our Head of Development & Support, took part in the autumn meeting of 2016 in Bonn (GER). According to Hans, the participation of PRIMORIS in this kind of working groups is very meaningful: “It is not only a possibility for us to gain knowledge about current and upcoming trends on an international level  allowing us to optimize our activities for our customers. By sharing our knowledge, we are also able to contribute to the enhancement of quality of laboratories and thus contribute to food safety on an international level ”

During the meeting of October, guest speaker Matthias Filter of the Department of Biological Safety from the German ‘Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung’ gave a lecture about the upcoming importance of microbiology in food analysis. Furthermore, the members also discussed the analytical challenges of the active substances  Chlorpyrifos, Folpet & captan and chlorate.

Visit of QS to our lab in Zwijnaarde

On October 13^th, the residue monitoring board of the German quality system QS visited the PRIMORIS Belgium HQ in Zwijnaarde. PRIMORIS is amongst other approved by QS and was happy to show the QS-board the lab and employees.

After their visit, the QS participants had a meeting at the BelOrta HQ in Sint-Katelijne-Waver, where relevant and actual themes in the field of residue monitoring were discussed.
